Welcome to the Spiritual Space...
Centuries ago, before the Church of England even came into being, people would come to church while services were taking place to say their prayers and develop their spirituality in their own time and on their own terms. Fast forward to 2024, and a group of us thought, "What's so wrong with that?" The Spiritual Space came into being, providing a space for anyone of any age to encounter church in a way that allows them to choose how best to use the time in the building.
Coffee, Tea, and Cake are available throughout our gatherings in the 'social space', where there's space to relax, chat, and maybe even do a word puzzle or two. The creative space spans the church, offering crafts, colouring, and LEGO activities. The play space provides our children with a space to explore with toys and books in an easily supervised area, while the Quiet Space allows anyone who needs it to retreat from the noise and find rest in God. Each session is bookended by a couple of songs, particularly 'assembly bangers'.
The Spiritual Space currently meets on the fourth Sunday of every month (except December), starting at 10:30 and lasting for approximately one hour.
