For hundreds of years, our churches have been hosted families as they've celebrated the birth of a new child, the beginning of newly married life, and the lives of those whom they love but see no longer. Over the years, our priests have brought adults and children alike into contact with water to symbolise their new life in Christ, proclaimed to the parish two people are legally married, and have commended those who have died to God's protection and care.
